The Owner:
Megan Carpenter is a storyteller at heart - words are her thing.
Stories fascinate her, and as an executive resume writer and a career branding consultant, she loves hearing her clients’ stories and helping them create a resume and brand that makes them look fantastic. Leveraging her experience working with professionals from all stages in their careers and in a wide range of industries, she uses her skills to help others tell their stories and move forward in their careers.
Prior to her career as a writer and business owner, she earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting and in marketing from Grace College. During college and following graduation, she spent time in public and private accounting with a regional CPA firm and one of the world’s leaders in the orthopedic industry.
While working in accounting, she discovered resume writing, which turned out to be the perfect way to leverage her background in business and finance while pursuing her love for writing.
Since then, she has gained experience working with nationally and regionally known career services and resume companies, providing services to a wide variety of clients, from recent graduates to C-Suite executives, and has had the opportunity to learn from and be mentored by people who have been helping professionals succeed in their careers for 20+ years.
In addition, she works in the talent acquisition field as a candidate success manager, an experience she believes enhances her ability to tell career stories in a way that connects with the people making hiring decisions.
When she’s not working, you can usually find her hiking, riding her horse (or cleaning stalls), reading a good book, camping and traveling, spending time with friends and her significant other, or cuddling with her kitty.
She loves old books, is a sucker for sci-fi shows, and is an ENTP and an Enneagram 8. Her impression of a Russian accent is on point. She’s a coffee snob. And she’s passionate about orphan care and veterans’ causes.
